Bye Bye High Chair... Hello Big Boy Booster!
So I've been putting off the inevitable for a while now... I know Zach is ready to come out of the High Chair... but i haven't wanted to put it away, lol.... its his last real "baby" thing, lol. But this weekend, we got it all washed up and put away and got his booster seat all set up. Its the perfect thing for him, he just sits right at the table like such a big boy, and he has LOVED it ever since!! He loves sitting at the table, and he has actually started eating better since then as well :) SO here's an homage to the High Chair lol, we'll see ya later when kid #2 comes around :)

Potty Training Eve
So as you know we tried potty training Zach back in November, and it didnt go so well, so we are taking a break for a couple months on that. So today Zach was coming and going from his room a lot today, so it wasnt too strange for him to disappear for 15-20 minutes at a time. Well I went into the bathroom shortly before lunch time and found Zach's stuffed Eve sitting on his potty... lol, apparently he is potty training her now, lol

March for Babies 2009- Team Zachary: Our Miracle
Hey everyone, i know i posted a brief blog earlier about this, but its going to keep coming up through the walk in May :) Please take a minute to check out the March for Babies 2009 video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KLZCr4_TPv8. We are looking to keep growing our Family team this year and would love for you to join us!!
Our walk page is www.marchforbabies.com/christinamagleby. You can sign up to walk with us there, or even create your own family team!! Awareness is the key, getting as many people involved and making them aware of the many wonderful things the March of Dimes does is so important to us. Not only does it affect premature babies, but also those who have been born healthy.

Fun Day :)
So today was a fun Martin Luther King Jr. day off day :) I awoke at a little after 7 to the sound of Zach in his room saying "coookie.... cookie....hehe, hehe....coooooookie". Yikes, the kid wakes up asking for cookies now, lol. So anyways, we got up and got to playing (of course) with the Cars... then I found this Disney website that has the cute Cars short stories, the Mater's Tall Tales (they come on the Disney channel kinda here and there whenever) and Zach loves them. So we had fun watching those online. I also had a great time today watching a new show... Friday Night Lights... well its not a new show, but its new to me :) I got through the first disc of season 1 and I have to say, I quite like it (thanks Autumn!) Its great, although the girl on the show Lila, for whatever reason, really annoys me, lol... not sure what it is but she does, lol.
Tomorrow Zach has his evaluation for Speech Therapy, which im excited to finally get this process rolling. So we'll have more to report on that tomorrow.

Rough Night Teething
SO earlier this week (tues night i think? I cant remember now it seems like forever ago!) around midnight Zach woke up crying crying and so upset which is so not the norm for him. So I went in and picked him up, gave him a little tylenol, we read a book, sang a couple songs, and just rocked in his chair for a good half an hour before i tried putting him back in bed and that's when all heck broke loose. He was hysterical... poor guy so i picked him up and said he could lay in mommy & daddy's bed if he wanted but we had to go to sleep, since we wake up in a couple hours. I told him if he didn't lay down he would have to go back to his bed (and for the first time he actually understood that!!) SO we get into bed, and he is just laying there with his eeyore and blankie, and all of a sudden Joe starts so softly snore, and Zach just burst out laughing :) Then i would try to keep a straight face and tell him Shh! So he would get all quiet and be squeezing his eyes shut, and then Joe would start to snore again and Zach was quietly giggling, then burst into a laugh, lol. That time i couldn't help it, it was too cute :) SO we laughed at daddy snoring for a couple minutes, then I told Zach we really needed to go to bed, so I started falling asleep and I gotta hand it to him, he really did just lay there, he didn't try to get up or do anything he had tried to do in the past, he just laid there :) After I had been asleep for a while i felt him moving to i rolled over and he was just standing up int he middle of the bed. So I said OK sweetie, are you bored, we should probably put you back in bed then. So he grabbed his Eeyore and blankie and we went back to his room, and he went into his bed just fine. Strange, lol... SO finally at about 2:30 i got to bed :) but at least we had a good laugh :) that made it not so bad, lol :)

Through the snowstorm... to the dentist!
So yesterday morning bright and early Zach had an 8am dentist appt., which seemed like a good idea when i made the appt.. wasn't such a great idea when there was a massive snow fall the night before and morning of. So we got all bundled and packed into the car to make the short drive (so we thought!) to Springville, where Zach's dentist is... well because of the snow, and the freeway ramp closure (we took some back roads, thanks to some awesome directions from Autumn!) we made it there 55 minutes later! I must say though that I am quite proud of myself for actually going, normally if i were to wake up and see that much snow I would say forget it, I'll reschedule... but since I already had rescheduled the appt, I hated to reschedule it again! I think I've turned over a new leaf with my scared of snowy roads, lol...
Anyways, back to the dentist. Zach did about as well as he normally does at the dentist, not too happy at all and the nurses (or dental assistants i guess?) kept commenting on how cute and sad his soft cry is, lol. SO after the cleaning the dentist took a look at his teeth and said they are still holding up remarkably well and No cavities (YEAH!). He did still say we'll watch how the teeth hold up, and hopefully Zach wont need caps put on them until he is 5 or 6, basically when he goes to school, so he doesnt get teased. He does want to try and get x-rays next time we go in, to see if there is anything else going on with his teeth. So, good news again for us now :) Just keeping our fingers crossed that they keep holding up!
Also last night Zach came up to me kind of crying/whining last night, and as i picked him up i noticed he was burning hot. So i took his temp... 101.6 poor guy :( So we got some Tylenol in him and took a long bath to help cool him down and by the time we got him to bed at 10 his fever was down to about 99.0.
Well about a half an hour later I was in bed reading and all of a sudden I could hear Zach just hysterically laughing in his room, just laughing and laughing away, I even woke Joe up so hear it. I have no idea what he was dreaming about, but it must have been good because he was laughing for a good 5 minutes, lol..
He's been a little better today, I've been able to keep his fever down with Tylenol, but I think he has a tummy bug :( he's had some not so fun diapers this morning :(
On some more exciting news though we are SO excited to see my mom this weekend!! She will be getting home from Ohio on Thursday and then driving up here Friday with Nathan and Katie :) Zach is very excited to see Grandma Trout (as we all are!)

Happy New Years!!
Happy New Years!! We continued our Magleby family tradition of going out for Chinese food for New Years Eve dinner, and then went back to the Dave & Linda's where we had so much fun playing with Zach and I quite enjoyed watching Twilight with Linda :) It was a fun night, we headed out a little early as Zach was getting so tired, and he fell asleep within about 2 min of leaving grandma and grandpa's house :) Joe and I did make it up till midnight though!! althoguh we were in bed by about 12:10, lol.
Hope everyone had a happy and safe New Years and we are so looking forward to the many things to come in 2009!!

Friends in town!
This week my old Roomate Melissa and her husband Trent and their ADORABLE little girl were in town, and we were able to catch up for a little while and let the kids play together!! It was so fun to get together, the last time we saw each other was the christmas before i got pregnant with Zach! So needless to say it was so fun to be around them, and just talk like no time had passed since we were all living together :)
Grandma Pace
My Grandma Pace passed away the Sunday before Christmas, and I was so blessed to be able to make it to Ohio for her funeral. It was a quick trip, about 36 hours, because I wasnt sure how Zach would handle mommy being gone (since I am here with him 24/7) and as it turned out it was a god thing it was a quick trip, he was very antsy for mommy (as was Joe, lol) by the time I got home.
It was so great to get to Ohio (the last time I was there was my Junior year of High School) and be able to see my Aunts and Uncles that I never get to see, along with cousins, whom I probably havent seen in a good 20 years. The funeral service was absolutely beautiful, as well as the graveside service where they had a gentleman playing the bagpipes, and the Marines there to do the flag and taps, since my Grandma was in the Marines in WWII. She was such an amazing lady and so strong, she had been through a lot of hard times in her life, but she always made it through each thing with a positive attitude, and was that much stronger for it. I am so sad that I was never able to get Zachary out there to meet her, but I really think that she has visited him in some way, he seemed to know exactly who she was when I brought home the program from the funeral and he was looking at the picture.
Merry Christmas!!
We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!! It was a lot of fun in our house this year, Zach was very much into unwrapping and loved to play with all of his fun new toys! :) We were able to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas afternoon with Joe's family, which was so fun!!
(after i figure out how to add a slide show, ill have pics up! :)

What an adorable 2 year old!
So one morning Zach came out of his room dragging Eeyore with him, and then laid him down and laid on top of him and resumed watching his TV show, it was the cutest thing ive ever seen!! :) he was so cozy after that, lol
Lights at Temple Square!
We made it up to Temple Square on the 17 th of December and it was SUCH a fun night! Not only was it the 4 year anniversary of the night Joe proposed to me (in temple square!) but it was also the first time we were able to take Zach up to see the lights!! And he LOVED it!! We got there around 5:30ish and it was the perfect time to be there i guess because it was dark, and barely anyone was there!! Zach loved running around pointing to all the lights, and it was really beautiful to see!!
After a fun night we headed over for a yummy dinner at Crown Burger :) Zach loved sitting in the booth rather than in one of the high chairs! :)
