A day in San Diego!!

We had one day we spent in San Diego, which was wonderful! San Diego is one of my favorite places in California to go, there is so much to see, and so many neat places to go.

First we went to Old Town and grabbed some lunch at a very yummy mexican restaurant.

After lunch we walked over to visit the recently remodeled Mormon Battalion visitors Center. I haven't been there in years, and I have to say the interactive-ness of it made it a lot of fun. Even Joe said he had fun, and that's saying something ;)

After the tour we went out and panned for some gold! :)

Zach thought this was the best thing ever! He pumped that water like a pro!

After a fun afternoon in Old Town we went to a Padres game! It was Zach's first time at a baseball game, and I think all of our first time at the new Petco field!

Funny story of the night... about halfway through the 1st inning Zach saw a guy sit down next to Joe with a piece of pizza... and he promptly turned to me and said "I really want some pizza!" I was so shocked by this whole complete sentence that came out of nowhere it kind of caught me off guard. I told him we would get him some in a little while, once we were a little farther into the game. About 5 min later the vendor guy came buy selling pizza and Zach frantically turned to me again and said "I really really want some pizza" in the saddest little voice I ever heard. So of course we got some then, and he ended up eating about 3/4 of the thing (and it was a huge slice!)

We ended up leaving after the 11th inning since it was so late... I think if I remember it ended up going 14 innings? It was so much fun, and Zach was passed out int he car before we even got to the freeway :)

Disneyland with the Magleby's!

We took another trip to Disneyland while in California, this time with the entire Magleby family! It was so much fun! Zach had so many people to take him on different rides, and carry him and he loved every minute of it!

First ride of the day we got on Dumbo, Zach rode with Grandpa Magleby and he had such a blast with it going up and down!

After Dumbo we got on the Peter Pan ride, and thank heavens we got on when we did, by the time we got off the ride the line was 40 min. long!!

As we got off Peter Pan we noticed there was NO line at Dumbo, and we decided to go again since Zach had so much fun the first time! Joe had just as much fun as Zach did I think making Dumbo go up and down and up and down! :)

Zach also went on the big rockets with Grandpa Magleby, I was a little nervous as to how he would do with this one since it was so high, but he loved it!

While we went on Soarin' Over California Grandpa Magleby waited outside with Zach (since he was 1 inch too short for the ride!) and when we got out Zach had passed out, so cute!

I highly recommend the Pixar Pals Parade at California Adventure... it was SO cute!!

Getting ready for the new Toy Story 3-D arcade game ride! Zach sat on my lap and I aimed while he shot and he LOVED it, he asked to go again as soon as we got off, but the park was closing :(

The last ride of the night was Autopia, Zach got to drive (with daddy pushing the gas pedal), about halfway through he decided he didn't need to steer anymore, haha thank heavens the cars are on a rail!

All in all we had such a fun day, it's so nice to have these vacation memories with our family! Here's to many more years of fun family memories!

As usual per tradition we made our trek to the Rainbow outlet... the only way to properly buy Rainbows :) Oh so comfy... how we love you :) Also we just had so much fun hanging out with family... we take it any time we can get it when we are all together, its so much fun and we wish it could happen more often! :)

Lumpy Seas..... oh and Dolphins!

One of our first outings once we all got together was to go whale/dolphin watching out in Dana Point :) Those of you who know me know how much i LOVE dolphins and whales and mostly all marine animals, so I was pretty excited! We decided it was probably not something Zach would enjoy so Joe more than happily volunteered to stay home with him. We got there and the guys warned us that the seas were pretty rough, so we got some dramamine and hoped on board. They warned us at least another 2 times once on board that there were "lumpy seas" and to be forewarned. So we set off finally and it was pretty lumpy to say the least, and lets just say my tummy was not a fan ;) I LOVED it, other than the lumpy water part :) We came across what they called a mega-pod of dolphins, and it was just beautiful to see!! It was pretty much the highlight of the trip for me (next to taking Zach to Disneyland of course!)

Ahh... the Beach House... how we love you!

After a few days at my parents house we met up with the rest of the Magleby clan down at the Beach House in Capistrano... it was so fun to get together with everyone (some of whom we hadn't seen since Thanksgiving!) Zach went straight outside to the sand, which barefoot he was not a fan of, but once we got his water shoes on he was all for it!
