First of all Happy Earth day!
And, well its happened, I'm 1 year older...yikes... the big 2-7.. and according to shayne "wow tina, that's a lot of numbers!". lol But it was the best birthday! The sun was out and shining, we were able to get outside and play for a good half hour, and when we came come and broke out the water table for the first time this year, and Ive had to drag (literally) Zach away from it ever since!! Then after Joe got home we opened some cards and presents which included a gift certificate for a pedicure (hooray i cant wait to go get it!!) and pride & prejudice (the good, long 6 hr one) on bluray! For dinner we went to PF Changs (yum!) which i love but we never get to go to! I also got a couple of great phone call happy birthday songs (thanks ben & emily and dave)!! Thanks for all the birthday wishes!! It was a great one!!

Easter Weekend!
Wow, I'm a little slow, I'm just getting to the Easter post, lol. I hope everyone else had a great Easter! We kicked things off Saturday morning with an Easter Egg hunt at Thanksgiving Point, Zach had a blast, and was so excited to pick up the eggs! Then after we got home, and he napped we headed over to my brother JT & his wife Kasaundra's house, where they had an Easter Egg "hunt" set up for Zach, which (once he realized there were 3 musketeer bars in them) he headed right for! Then Kasaundra was brave enough to color Easter Eggs with Zach, which he had SOO much fun doing... he didn't even need to use the spoons to get the Eggs out, he used his hands, lol... and every egg had to go in the "Buuuueeee" cup, at one point there were at least 3 eggs in 1 cup! It was so much fun.
Then Sunday we enjoyed some Easter basket fun, and headed up to Aunt Annie's house for Easter dinner, and enjoyed some wonderful family time!

The Cost of Raising a Child
I got this from a friend, so cute!!
The Cost of Raising a Child:
The government recently calculated the cost of raising a child from birth to 18 and came up with $160,140.00 for a middle income family. Talk about price shock! That doesn't even touch college tuition!! But $160,140.00 isn't so bad if you break it down.
The government recently calculated the cost of raising a child from birth to 18 and came up with $160,140.00 for a middle income family. Talk about price shock! That doesn't even touch college tuition!! But $160,140.00 isn't so bad if you break it down.
It translates into:
* $8,896.66 a year
* $741.38 a month
* $171.08 a weekOR...
* a mere $24.24 a day!
That's just over a dollar an hour!!!
Still, you might think the best financial advice is don't have children if you want to be "rich".
But actually, it is just the opposite. So, what do you get for your $160,140.00 exactly?
* Naming rights: First, middle, and last!
* Glimpses of God every day.
* Giggles under the covers every night.
* More love than your heart can hold.
* Butterfly kisses and Velcro hugs.
* Endless wonder over rocks, ants, clouds, and warm cookies.
* A hand to hold, usually covered with jelly or chocolate.
* A partner for blowing bubbles and flying kites.
* Someone to laugh yourself silly with, no matter what the boss said or how your stocks performed that day.
For $160,140.00, you never have to grow up. You get to:
* finger-paint, * carve pumpkins, * play hide-and-seek, * catch lightning bugs, and * never stop believing in Santa Claus.
You have an excuse to:
* keep reading the Adventures of Piglet and Pooh,
* watch Saturday morning cartoons,
* go to Disney movies, and
* wish on stars.
You get to frame rainbows, hearts, and flowers under refrigerator magnets and collect spray painted noodle wreaths for Christmas, hand prints set in clay for Mother's Day, and cards with backward letters for Father's Day.
For a mere $24.24 a day, there is no greater bang for your buck!!You get to be a hero just for:
* retrieving a Frisbee off the garage roof,
* taking the training wheels off a bike,
* removing a splinter,
* filling a wading pool,
* coaxing a wad of gum out of bangs,
*and coaching a baseball team that never wins but always gets treated to ice cream regardless.
You get a front row seat in history to witness the:
* first step, * first word, * first bra, * date, and first * first time behind the wheel.
You get to be immortal. You get another branch added to your family tree, and if you're lucky, a long list of limbs in your obituary called grandchildren and great grandchildren.
You get an education in psychology, nursing, criminal justice, communications, and human sexuality that no college can match.
In the eyes of a child, you rank right up there under God. You have all the power to heal a boo-boo, scare away the monsters under the bed, patch a broken heart, police a slumber party, ground them forever, and love them without limits, so one day they will, like you, love without counting the cost.
That is quite a deal for the price!!!!!!! Love & enjoy your children !!!!!!!

5 Guys Burgers & Fries
delicious!! ok, so back story.... Friday night Joe & I went on a date (hooray!) and went to a movie at the new theater in Orem (we saw Adventureland which was great by the way!!) On the way out we noticed in the new little strip mall area that a 5 Guys had opened, and we have heard rave reviews about it from our DC area family.
Fast-forwarding to tonight, we decided to go out for dinner tonight and try it out before the Carolina game. Now just so you know (since I learned it the hard way) the regular cheeseburger is really a double, lol. They have a small one, but I just figured it was a kids size, lol... but no it was huge, yikes! (so if you go there, know that!) Anyways, it was delicious, I have to say, I think it was better than In-N-Out, which I didn't think was possible :) And the Cajun fries... yummy!! Zach review of the Grilled Cheese sandwich when i asked him if it was good was a overly enthused "yyyeeeaahhhhhhh" lol. SO you should go check it out!! now!!!
After we got home it was time for the Carolina game so we got Zach all changed into his Carolina shirt (thanks again uncle dan!!!) and while uploading the pic i found a few more i hadn't uploaded yet, so here are a few random, yet adorable pics :)
Zach making pretzel art at lunch
Zach has become a big fan of art projects.... doenst matter what it is, lol
after one of his recent all nighters he took a super long nap the next day and after 3 hours I started to get a little worried, so I went in to check on him and found him all sprawled out like this :)

Not sleeping...
This last almost 2 weeks Zach has been in very unusual sleeping habits. He's been waking up in the middle of the night all stuffy and very upset. So, one of the nights, he was so very upset so we brought him into our room to sleep, and (the true sign he wasnt feeling well) he went right to sleep. Usually if we bring him into our room he thinks its playtime, even if its dark and in the middle of the night, lol.
